RR WELCOMES BACK SHAWYER FOR SNETTERTON ENCOUNTER
Matt Shawyer and Russell Racing will reunite at Snetterton this Saturday for the second round of the 2006 Formula Renault BARC Championship, the 23-year-old undoubtedly entering the weekend as one of the favourites for outright success.
Having been firmly bitten by the Formula Renault BARC bug following a highly impressive category debut at Silverstone National Circuit last weekend, Shawyer has officially confirmed he will return to the Doncaster team’s fold on Saturday for what he hopes will be one of several appearances this year in the championship’s FR2000 Class.
The St Albans-based BRDC Rising Star, whose main priority this year is the Asian Formula Renault Championship, finished a tremendous second at Silverstone last Saturday, having only agreed a deal with Russell Racing at the 11th hour, and is now confident of making the successful partnership a winning one this weekend in Norfolk.
