HOULDER ON AT SYMMONS
Consistency was the weapon of choice at the second round of the Shannons Australian Production Car Championship at Tasmania’s Symmons Plains circuit with John Holder claiming his first round win with a victory and a third in the Intune Motorsport Ford Falcon XR8.
In today’s two races which were both handicap 15 lap races and the only ones to count to the outright points, David Ryan and his Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo looked the combination to beat after a defining win in the scratch race yesterday.
However despite two firsts across the lines today, Ryan was shattered to be excluded from the first race because of a data logger glitch that couldn’t download critical data to category officials.
He took the bit between his teeth for the next outing, storming through to win easily. A 30-point salvage enabled him to retain fourth ahead of pace rival Drew Russell who also had a day to forget
