CRASH STOPS PRODUCTION QUALIFYING Qualifying for round two of the Shannons Australian Production Car Championships was shortened when one of the front runners crashed at the well-renowned Symmons Plains (Tasmania) hairpin. Chris Delfsma had been second for much of the session when his Century 21 Ford Falcon XR8 ran out of brakes, careered across the sand trap and into a tyre barriered wall. Whilst the car was extensively damaged and will take no further part in the meeting, the driver emerged from the accident without injury. |
