Taupo to Host Import Faceoff this Weekend
This Saturday, April 1 will bring one of the biggest import events ever staged in Australasia to Taupo's Lakeside International Dragway. The new race complex at Centennial Park is to play host to what is planned to be 'the' major Import event on New Zealand's motorsport calendar.
Import Faceoff is the first of what is destined to be an annual festival at Lakeside International Dragway, Taupo.
The day involves drifting, drag racing, dyno challenges, a soundoff (SQ/DBDrag), show and shine, bikini comp plus a return of the NZ vs USA Jet Car Challenge.
This all-in-one event is a Kiwi first for the Import scene and with over $15,000 in prize money, Import Faceoff is also the richest event on New Zealand's Import event calendar.
Spectators will also have a chance to be a part of proceedings when Lakeside gives away their customised Import Face-off Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t to a lucky spectator on the day.

General admission tickets are $30 (per person) including car pass and gates open to spectators from 8am.
