Hitchhiker's Guide to Watching Autocon Motorsports Season
Mike Lewis, Bryan Willman and Chris McMurry are campaigning at the top level of sportscar competition this year in the American Le Mans Series. Some of the followers of Autocon will read race reports and others will watch coverage on TV. But there are several more avenues for information if you choose to immerse yourself into the world of motorsports. This guide is intended to show some of the methods to follow the action. Most are based at the ALMS web site. There you will be greeted with headline news, and an opportunity to explore the many features of the site.
On race weekends, one of the first places to visit is IMSA Timing & Scoring. You will find a plethora of information that is actually far more information than is available to the teams in the pit area. You can follow your favorite drivers as they progress through the field, find lap times, pit stop times, intervals and lots, lots more. Want more? The ALMS radio team is world class and will supplement a TV broadcast with many more pit interviews and descriptions of on-and- off track activities.
Live Timing & Scoring or Live Radio:

Now for the really hard core followers of Autocon Motorsports and ALMS. SpeedTV offers a premium service, also linked through eMedia on the ALMS page, and provides the viewed with tons of options. You can choose in car video shots and indeed listen to in-car radio communication between drivers and crew. It is cool (but not available to Mac users). The cost is as low as $2.99 per event (not an endorsement) but some might enjoy.

One more source of team information is audio snippets from team members available at the Autocon team site. Mike, Chris and Byran will be providing brief updates from the track on most race weekends. There is also a blog on the team site that provides insights not normally in press releases.

Better yet, if you're at the track, stop by to visit the team for an up close and personal view. Mention you are on the team's email list for special care. Bottomline, you can enjoy the Autocon Motorsports effort a great deal more through the joys of the web. We hope you enjoy our efforts to please you and your interest in motorsports. Lastly, if you know anyone who would be interested in being added to the team's email list, there's one more link for you.
