EXPERIENCE THE AIM AS ADRAD RACING COMES TO GRIPS WITH ADELAIDE STREETS
ADRAD Racing has completed a solid day’s work in opening practice for round 1 of the 2006 WPS Australian Carrera Cup Championship at the Clipsal 500.
South Australian Bryce Washington today completed 26 laps across the two, 20-minute sessions and concentrated on dialing himself and the car in rather than outright results.
As it was, Washington was 10th in opening practice and 11th in the second session, both times well within striking distance of his targeted results inside the top ten.
In hot and muggy conditions at the 3.2km Adelaide street circuit, Washington’s practice two-best time of 1m26.9945 placed him in the middle of a group of six cars covered by less than a second, highlighting the competitive nature of this year’s Carrera Cup field.
There could be more to come, however, Bryce experiencing brake difficulties in both sessions today that meant he couldn’t push as hard as he would have liked without risking the car.
