NEW TV PACKAGE TO MATCH WORLDWIDE INTEREST IN KUMHO TYRES AUSTRALIAN FORMULA 3 CHAMPIONSHIP

The Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 championship has today confirmed a significantly expanded TV package for the 2006 season.

Featuring the fight for the prestigious CAMS Gold Star award and the Australian Drivers Championship, the series’ has confirmed a package that encompasses significant domestic and international exposure designed to promote the series to a potential audience larger than ever before.

The announcement of added international exposure comes one week after British driver Ben Clucas dominated the opening round of the championship last weekend at Wakefield Park Raceway in New South Wales.

The cornerstone of the series’ domestic coverage will once again be coverage on the long running Speedweek program on SBS, which airs each Sunday at 12:00pm.

Speedweek has a long running tradition of covering Australian Formula 3 Racing and will provide 30 minutes of airtime for each championship round this season, including behind the scenes features, interviews and all of the exciting race action.

That content will also be mirrored on FOX Sports’ Inside Speed Program, which will be broadcast in a new primetime timeslot
