CRICK LEADS CLOSE FIELD IN TIGHT WAKEFIELD QUALIFYING SHOOTOUT

THREE Months ago, Tasmanian Greg Crick took pole position for the final round of the 2005 Speed Energy Drink Australian GT Championship at Wakefield Park Raceway in Goulburn.

Today the Viper was back in its familiar position at the top of the field in Qualifying for round 1 of the 2006 series, however this time the chasing pack is the closest and most competitive assembled in series history.

Crick took the pole by just one-tenth of a second, beating home D’Arcy Russell’s similar car to make it an all-American front row
