CANBERRA BROTHERS JOIN AUSTRALIAN GT CHAMPIONSHIP AT WAKEFIELD PARK SEASON START. A pair of Local drivers will join an impressive array of exotic Sportscar talent when round 1 of the 2006 Australian GT Championship gets underway at Wakefield Park Raceway near Goulburn in NSW, this weekend. Brothers James & Theo Koundouris, both experienced drivers in GT-style competition thanks to a number of years in the Australian Carrera Cup Championship, have entered their Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Cars against 22 other high performance GT cars from marques such as Ferrari, Dodge, Honda, Lotus and Ford. The pair will be taking home ground advantage into the Goulburn round, thanks to their status as the only two drivers from either Canberra or the Goulburn region. |
