ADRAD RACING'S TRANS TASMAN CAMPAIGN ENDS AT RUAPUNA

SOUTH AUSTRALIAN driver Bryce Washington had a disappointing end to his 2006 Battery Town Porsche Trans-Tasman cup series in New Zealand last weekend, the South Australian driver ousted from the meeting after the first race at Powerbuilt International Raceway, Ruapuna thanks to a broken engine. After qualifying a season-best third position for the opening race, Washington - who was looking to consolidate second in the Trans Tasman points table behind V8 Supercar driver Craig Baird - had trouble selecting second gear at the start of the opening race.
After dropping down through the ranks, The ADRAD Racing Porsche executed a concerted charge through the field to run fourth with a few laps of the event remaining.
