LARRY PERKINS GOES FOR JACK DANIEL’S LONGTIME V8 Supercar team owner Larry Perkins today announced he had reached agreement with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey as the naming rights sponsor of his V8 Holden team for 2006. To be known as Jack Daniel’s Racing, the threeyear deal between the sixtime Bathurst 1000 winner and the world’s number oneselling whiskey is the first major sponsorship of its kind in V8 Supercar racing. Jack Daniel’s replaces Castrol as the team’s main backer and will have full branding on the twocar Holden Commodore team featuring regular drivers Steven Richards and Paul Dumbrell, starting at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide next March. |
