Dodo Racing to audition talent for 2006 V8 Supercar race seat
Youlden, Pretty and Jones joined by Formula Ford competition winner
DODO Racing will test a select group of drivers this Monday (December 12) at Winton Motor Raceway in Victoria as it decides who will join Jason Richards in its two-car Holden Commodore squad for the 2006 V8 Supercar Championship Series.
A number of experienced drivers will join the team for the test, which will be keenly watched over by team Managing Director Kevin Murphy, Technical Director Ron Harrop and Chief Engineer Wally Storey.
Andrew Jones, Luke Youlden and Nathan Pretty, who ironically finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively in this year’s Bathurst 1000, will join the team to test.
However there is also the potential that a fourth, unnamed - though just as experienced - V8 Supercar driver will join them on the day. Final details of the mystery driver’s participation are yet to be fully confirmed.
Tasman Motorsport Search for a V8 Superstar competition winner John Martin will also be in attendance though and sample a V8 Supercar for the first time.
The young New South Welshman won a test with the team courtesy of winning the competition that was run in conjunction with the NSW Formula Ford Championship.
