Second place in the 2005 Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 Championship for the CAMS Gold Star just wasn’t to be for Protecnica Racing’s Chris Alajajian, but he finished the season with plenty of pace at Eastern Creek Raceway.

Alajajian entered the weekend aiming to take second place in the championship; however a pair of startline induced incidents in today’s final races of the year put paid to his chances.

In the opening race, Alajajian put in a gallant drive to second place. He stalled off the line, but charged back through the field, setting the fastest lap along the way.

He got off the line cleanly in race two, however the start was adjudged to have been too clean.
