BRATT BEST OF GRADUATE CUP BUNCH AT CROFT

Oxon race ace Will Bratt achieved the prime objective of out-qualifying his main rival in the B4 Group Graduate Cup at Croft Circuit today, ahead of rounds nine and 10 of the Formula Renault UK Championship with Michelin which take place tomorrow.

With the North Yorkshire venue basking in glorious sunshine and hot temperatures, the Formula Renault UK competitors knew tyre wear would probably play an important part in qualifying and so it proved with the majority of the field setting their best times during the early stages of each of the day’s two 20-minute sessions.

In round nine qualifying, Will posted a best time of 1m 19.680 seconds (96.09mph) to take 17th position on the grid overall and start the first of Sunday’s races five places ahead of Graduate Cup points leader Richard Keen
