Racing Engineering and Sergio Jimenez win appeal |

With reference to the decision taken by the Stewards of the race during the Jerez round of the 2006 Spanish Formula 3 Championship and GTSport Organización’s, the championship organizer's, press release dated 23rd of October, 2006, Racing Engineering and Sergio Jimenez would like to communicate the following:
Following the appeal made by Racing Engineering against the exclusion of the race of its driver Sergio Jimenez, the Tribunal Nacional de Apelación y Disciplina has taken the following decision:
Consider the appeal made by the participant Racing Engineering against the decision n° 22 taken by the Committee of the race Stewards for the race being part of the Spanish Formula 3 Championship, celebrated at the Jerez circuit on the 22nd of October, 2006 and refund the deposit made.
Given this decision, the Tribunal Nacional de Apelación y Disciplina has annulled the decision taken by the Stewards of the race and considers demonstrated that neither Sergio Jimenez nor Racing Engineering had any responsibility in the accident during the start of the first race of the meeting.
