Harvey To Pick Up Championship Spoils At Autosport International Show PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 03 January 2007
harvey_maranello3Newly crowned British Junior Kart Champion Jack Harvey will finally get his hands on his 2006 award at the Autosport International Show at the NEC in Birmingham next weekend.

The 13-year-old from Bassingham in Lincolnshire, who has just signed a deal to drive for the factory Maranello Kart squad in Europe in 2007, will receive his award for lifting the MSA Super One title at the show on Sunday January 14th.

harvey_maranello2“I’m really looking forward to the Autosport show,” said Jack. “I’ve been there for the last two years doing demonstration runs in the karting area. But it will be great to go there this year to be picking up an award,” He added.

“It’s a great place to visit as you can get to meet a lot of drivers from other series and from further up the racing career ladder. There is always a great display of karts and cars there too. It also means that the new season is about to get underway and I can’t wait for that to happen and start to work with the Maranello team!” he said.

While he’s at the show Jack will also be interviewed live on the Motorsport News Karting stage at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon, just after for Grand Prix driver and sportscar star David Brabham.

“It’s going to be interesting being on stage at the same time as some of the professional drivers at the show,” said Jack. “But I’m looking forward to it and I hope it isn’t the last time that I get invited to do it too,” he added.

Tickets for the show are now available on-line at www.autosport-international.com or by phoning the ticket hotline on 0870 380 2244, at £26.00 per adult including entry to the 45-minute adrenaline-pumping Live Action Arena. Children’s (5 – 15) tickets are £18.50 with the elite Paddock Pass available for £32.00. The Paddock Pass gives exclusive access to the Driver Signing Area; access to the Live Action Arena Paddock back stage; priority seating and fast-track entry to the Live Action Arena, and a show guide lanyard including pictures of celebrities and a detailed floor plan of the show.
