Experienced racer out to claim Palmer Audi spoils PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 05 March 2007

Dominik Jackson has officially signed up for the 2007 Formula Palmer Audi Championship and immediately declared his intention to walk off with the title.

Lincolnshire-based Jackson, 22, will compete in the 300bhp turbocharged single-seater series this season having already gained racing experience in German Formula BMW and American Formula Ford. After testing at Bedford Autodrome last week and immediately setting the fastest time of the pre-season, Jackson heads into the 20-race campaign with no doubts as to his target.

"I really think this championship is within my grasp," said Dominik, who despite his four years of car racing will be entering his first full season in the UK. "I was ecstatic with the test time that I set, and I hope this will fire out a warning to my rivals for the coming year."

Jackson will take in two more tests at Bedford before the season-opener at Silverstone next month, and says these should prove useful. "It's important to rack up as much mileage as possible now before the season begins and the margin for error disappears."

The FPA season takes in 20 races, visiting Silverstone, Brands Hatch in both Grand Prix and Indy layouts, Snetterton, Castle Combe, Oulton Park, Donington Park and Croft.
