Further to the halt in testing imposed at Brands Hatch on Monday, 12th March, Renault Sport UK is delighted to announce ELF Renault Clio Cup official testing will resume at Rockingham Motor Speedway on Monday, 26th March in preparation for the opening rounds of the championship at Brands Hatch.
Renault Sport will supply new EE Support Brackets of a revised design.
Production has now started and the supplier is working around the clock
to deliver the new parts direct to Rockingham, enabling all teams to
fit them before testing starts.
"This has been a very difficult time for all those involved in the Clio
Cup and I am very pleased we have found a solution which enables teams
and drivers to test before the first race meeting. I particularly want
to praise the spirit amongst our competitors which has been very
supportive despite the difficulties caused by the enforced break in
testing", commented Tim Jackson, Motorsport Director, Renault UK.
