Russell Ingall has saved the best to last!
The two-time Bathurst winner has one remaining example from the limited edition run he did of 2005 championship-winning helmet.
Helmet #1 will be auctioned over the next month.
The helmet from the Arai GP5 range has identical paint work and livery to the helmet Ingall wore on the day he collected his maiden title at Phillip Island in December 2005.
The helmet sits in a specially-designed clear case, which includes a unique black carbon-fibre-look base.
The helmet has been prepared by Craig Goss at Headcase in Brisbane and includes original chroming which is one of the most expensive helmet finishes in the market.
The helmet will come personally autographed and will include any message a fan might want added to the finished product.
“We only did 10 samples of the winning helmet and this is the last one,” said Ingall.
“This is the number #1 helmet of the 10 which is pretty significant and will make a great addition to any collection.
“Hopefully we will have the chance to add another championship helmet to this one at the end of the season.”
