Dunlop Tyres has announced a new media initiative to drivers competing in
the 2007 Dunlop Great & British Festivals.
Dunlop has created media tool kit and will run a training session at the
first round of the 2007 Dunlop Great & British Festivals at Snetterton on
Saturday 28th April. The training session will present drivers with the
basic tools to generate their own media coverage and in raising their
profile to potential new sponsors.
The press fund, worth over £800 per round will be awarded to drivers, who
activity generate and maximise their own local and national media coverage.
This will be presented to drivers at one of the podium presentations at
each round of the Dunlop Great & British Festivals.
The media tool kit will be available through Dunlop Great & British
championship co-ordinators and on-line through www.driversknow.co.uk. The
media tool kit will provide assistance to how the media operates and how to
supply them with information. The tool kit will assist with necessary
guidance to drivers who crave and have a desire to raise their profile in
the local and national media.
Lisa Davison of Dunlop explains: ”The initiative is an exciting opportunity
for drivers to raise their profile in the local and national media and with
full support from Dunlop, drivers will be given the know-how to generate
their own media coverage, without spending a fortune on hiring a PR
company.
“The media initiative has been designed to inspire drivers and offer a cash
reward to those who maximise local, and national press coverage and on TV
and radio appearances. This is a fantastic opportunity in promoting club
motorsport to the widest possible audience and encourage new spectators
through the gates.”
The media tool kit is fully supported by the Dunlop Great & British
Festival organisers and Dunlop intends to reward drivers who maximise their
own local and national media coverage with a cash prize.
The cash prize will be awarded to the top six drivers that generate the
most media coverage in the month prior to each Dunlop Great & British
Festival round and further details will be announced at the media training
session in April.
