Mini fans across the UK are invited to join the celebration of the iconic car when the Dunlop Great & British Mini Festivals returns again in 2007.
To celebrate the ‘Great & British’ car, thousands of Mini fans are expected to unite at three Dunlop Great & British Festival events, with special parade laps for all Mini drivers and their passengers.
Following the success of last year’s Mini Festivals, fans of the
Britain’s favourite car are invited to the themed events in the Dunlop
Great & British Festival calendar at Outlon Park, Donington and
Pembrey.
At these events, there will be a strong Mini presence,
with MINI Challenge and the legendary Mini Se7ens and Miglias expected
to do battle on the racetrack.
Fans will gain access to the UK’s
finest collection of race and road Minis in a special designated
showground. Mini owners across the UK are welcome to attend the events
to show off their treasured classic and modern Minis, allowing visitors
to view the display.
Lisa Davison from Dunlop states: “The
British love Mini and the Dunlop Great & British Mini Festivals are
a true celebration of all what is ‘Great and British’ in both
motorsport and on the road.”
Since the launch of the Mini in
1959, Dunlop has been linked with the iconic British car since its
creation, specifically producing the tiny 10” tyres for the first car
and even now the racing Minis run on Dunlops, produced at Fort Dunlop
in Birmingham.
