Sean Gaffney will drive for Remita Racing in the Scholarship Class of the 2007 British Formula Ford Championship. Remita Racing is based in Finchley, North London and will run the ex-Eau Rouge Motorsport Mygale SJ03.
Sean, backed by Fullspec Solutions, Ceramic Tiles Distributors and ZX1 Lubricants, is already a successful Formula Ford racer. After starting in karts at age 11, Sean made his Formula Ford debut at age 16 and achieved a sixth place in his first race. Since then he has had many impressive results including a second place at Donington Park and seven top ten finishes. Still aged only 20, Sean aims to progress into Champ Cars or IRL.
“We are delighted to have Sean on the team for our debut year” said
team principal Jan Koszuta. “With his talent, experience of Formula
Ford and good knowledge of nearly all the circuits, Sean is bound to be
a title contender.”
Remita Racing aims to bring a fresh approach to Formula Ford racing by
putting the driver first. Formula Ford provides the ideal stepping
stone for drivers embarking on a career in motorsport and the same is
true of teams. We will develop with our drivers and progress to running
two cars in the UK Formula Ford Championship class in 2008 and we are
already looking at senior categories. The aim is to move into Formula 3
and beyond.
