Grid finalised for 2007 season PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 04 April 2007
With just over a week until the 2007 season of the GP2 Series kicks off in Bahrain, the final seat in the category has been filled, thus completing our full line-up for the year.

The last remaining seat of the #19 BCN Competicion car has been taken by Ho-Pin Tung, the 2006 German F3 champion. Ho-Pin will be the first Chinese driver to take part in the GP2 Series and his signing brings the total number of nationalities represented in the championship to 15.

Brazil has the largest representation on the grid with five drivers, as Spain runs a close second with four drivers. Along with China, 2007 sees South Africa, Denmark and India represented in the Formula One feeder category for the first time.

Of all the statistics however, it is perhaps most interesting to note that of the 26 drivers who will line up in Bahrain next week, half will be making their debuts in the GP2 Series.
