GP2: RACE 2 – MONZA, ITALY
Great Britain’s Adam Carroll breathed a sigh of relief as the chequered
flag signalled not only the end of the GP2 sprint race but also the end
of a torrid season.
The Racing Engineering driver, who finished joint 7th in this year’s
championship, was taken out after just 6 laps by Spanish driver Felix
Portiero. It was race and season over.
“It’s been a very trying season. We had the potential to have some good
results but they just never happened for various reasons. I still
managed to get some good results and 4 podiums. I’d like to thank all
the guys in the team for their hard work throughout the year.”
The championship was won by fellow Brit Lewis Hamilton.
