British driver Adam Carroll will be back in action this weekend in the second round of DTM at Oschersleben.
After walking away from a horror smash at Hockenheim two weeks ago, which left two drivers in hospital, Adam cannot wait to get back behind the wheel of his 2005 Audi A4 for Team Futurecom-TME.
“I was absolutely fine after the crash and I cannot wait for this
weekend. Hopefully I’ll get a better chance to show what I can do in
the race. I have tested here before and it went quite well so I am
looking forward to it.
“Obviously the team had to rebuild the car – the front end of the car
was damaged but it was mostly body work, all the main bits, the engine
and chassis were fine.”
Competing in his debut season in touring cars, the 24 year old, from
Portadown in Northern Ireland was impressed by the quality of the
series and the passion of the DTM fans.
“The series is so professional. The only thing which comes close is
Formula One. And I was quite shocked by the support I had from the
fans. They all knew my racing history, what I had done before and they
were happy I had come to race in DTM, it was quite overwhelming. Now I
would just like to give them and my team something to cheer about!”
Qualifying takes place on Saturday with the race on Sunday (2pm across Europe, 1pm BST).
