The new Thursday evening motor racing series POWERnights will be seen on Motors TV this year.  Three 1-hour highlight programmes will be filmed by leading motorsport television production company Hayfisher Productions, one for each of the three POWERnights to be held during this August at Silverstone and Donington Park.

Each of the POWERnights events will have a competitor’s prize fund, with a minimum of £4,000 available across the 8 races at each of the Thursday evening events.

In total the POWERnights organisers have agreement for the following:-

·  3 Hours TV coverage with Motors TV
·  £4,000 minimum prize fund per event
·  Race entry fee at just £250 for comprehensive testing, qualifying and race programme.
·  Motorsport News and Motors TV confirmed as event media partners
·  The MSA and the MIA are supporting the series
·  POWERnights are supporting motorsport industry initiatives Motorsport Foundation and the National Motorsport Week.

“To have an agreement for POWERnights to have three hours of programming on Motors TV in the first season is great news,” said POWERnights Series Director Roger Etcell.  “TV coverage for POWERnights, coupled with a significant prize fund for each of the three meetings, will potentially attract drivers from across the country to compete. We will be in a position in the coming weeks to announce the racing content for each of the three events.”

The first POWERnights event will be staged at Silverstone on Thursday 2 August with the second at Donington Park on Thursday 9 August, and third at Silverstone on Thursday 30 August.  Each of the events will be open to the public from 5pm following a full day of testing and qualifying.  An eight race, non stop race programme will begin at 6pm, with a post race prize giving paddock BBQ and entertainment open to all spectators and competitors.
