Hungaroring: Martini Fastest In Second Test Day PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 14 May 2007
In the second F.3000 test day in Budapest, Oliver Martini (RC Motorsport), also thanks to its experience on the Hungarian track, managed to set the fastest time, an impressive 1’34’’381.

Despite some rain slowed down the work early in the morning, almost all the drivers were able to improve from yesterday with six of them who did even better than last year pole position (1’36”101). Only the driver from Morocco Bennani, could not improve as he was involved in an accident at the beginning of the session and could therefore complete only few laps.

Behind Martini, Diego Nunes from Minardi did an excellent performance, stopping the clock at just two tenth from the current leader of the Euroseries 3000 rankings. In half a second range wefound then Danielsson (Elk Motorsport), Rigon (Minardi) and Razia (Fisichella Motor Sport).

Also the 17 years old driver from Ecuador, Sebastian Merchan, racorded good lap times, gaining experience for the next race which will be held in Hungaroring on the 17th June. In the meanwhile there will be another test day in Valencia on the 30 May.
