ENDURO specialist Nathan Pretty has been confirmed as the Holden Racing Team’s fourth endurance driver to join Mark Skaife, Todd Kelly and Glenn Seton for the Sandown and Bathurst classics.
The Wodonga-born, 33-year-old will line up for his tenth successive 1000km race at Mount Panorama this October, boasting an impressive five top 10 finishes in Holden Commodores, and a first and second in Monaros at the Bathurst 24 Hour races in 2002/03.
“His results sheet over the last decade at Bathurst is one of the best
going around, let alone for someone who is not a fulltime V8 Supercar
driver,” HRT boss Mark Skaife said.
“He’s a long time Holden man and we’re glad to have him on board to give us a full experienced, extra strong driver line up.”
Pretty is delighted to be back with Holden’s official factory racing team.
“I raced with Todd for fifth place at Bathurst in 2000, and for fourth
with Rick Kelly in 2002, so it’s nice to be back in the factory team
again,” Pretty said.
“Whoever I pair up with at HRT will work well because of the
professionalism of the team. The cars are always competitive and good
results are on the cards.”
The Sandown 500 takes place at Sandown International Raceway on 14-16
September, with the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama
following on 4-7 October.
