Team BRM and driver Paul Pittam have decided to part ways following the recent fourth round of the Australian Formula Ford Championship.
In a mutual decision between the team and Pittam’s management, the pair will split immediately to allow Pittam to follow other opportunities within the sport for the remainder of the season, and for 2008.
”It’s a shame that things have not gone the way that the team and Paul
expected at the start of the year,” Team BRM Formula Ford Manager Mark
Rundle said.
”Coming into the season both parties had high expectations on the kind
of results we anticipated and it’s disappointing that they haven’t been
achieved.
”By leaving us now Paul is able to conserve his budget and look towards a driving future in another category in the near future.
”This was a mutual decision that was in the best interests for both the team and Paul.”
Team BRM are currently talking to a number of drivers to fill the seat
of the second car as a team-mate to existing driver John Magro, for the
remainder of the 2007 Australian Formula Ford Championship.
