Team Bruichladdich Radical on Top Form in Germany |

Today saw the first day of track action in the Le Mans Series with Team Bruichladdich Radical making its mark as a front runner. In the first one-hour session Stuart Moseley put the Radical SR9 an impressive fifth overall and at the top of the LMP2 class. The time of 1 minute 47.914 was the best for the team today and is already one second faster than its qualifying time for the race here last year when the Team Bruichladdich Radical made its debut. Session one closed with Radical having the two fastest LMP2 cars with Embassy Racing’s SR9 just under two seconds behind the factory supported car.
Tim Greaves drove in session two and continued to get comfortable with
the track and car following set-up changes made in the break. Of the
combined times from both sessions Team Bruichladdich Radical was second
fastest behind the RML MG Lola and ahead of the Barazi Epsilon Zytek.
The team is on competitive form following a disappointing Le Mans and
part of the strategy for keeping the momentum in the car’s progress is
to switch back to a two driver line-up. In particular Tim Greaves will
get to build his experience with more time in the car at each event. A
further one hour practice session and qualifying takes place tomorrow
before Sunday’s 1000km race.

credit to the team who have done a great job turning it round so
quickly after Le Mans. We have a close link to the adjacent legendary
Nordschleife with the road legal SR8 holding the lap record so
hopefully its bigger sister can improve more tomorrow and put us in
good shape for Sunday’s race on the grand prix circuit.”
