Another top three qualifying slot has continued Team Bruichladdich Radical’s progress in the Le Mans Series today in Germany. In the twenty minute qualifying session Stuart Moseley put in a time of 1:46.953 to set the team third on the LMP2 grid for tomorrow’s 1000km/6 hour race. The time is nearly two seconds faster than the TBR SR9’s time on its debut at this track one year ago. Practice sessions before qualifying have all been productive and the team feels well prepared for the race.
Tim Greaves, Team Owner and driver “I’m very happy about the lap time
compared to last year and also that we’re the best of the Dunlop
runners. The car feels extremely good for the race and I’m feeling the
benefit of having more time in the car in preparation. As a driver
pairing I think Stuart and I have a good pace. We’ve been working hard
on getting consistency with the tyres over the two hour stints and the
car feels well balanced. All in all I think we’re in good shape for the
race.”
Stuart Moseley, Driver: “My fast lap was fine. I’m pleased with the
time which was a bit quicker than I thought it would be. I made a small
mistake locking the front wheels in sector two but although it cost
time realistically it wasn’t enough to have made a difference to our
position. I’m happy with third and if we can maintain our pace and stay
out of trouble we should be back on the podium.”
