Cram Competition’s Jerome D’Ambrosio secured a fantastic win at today’s first International Formula Master (IFM) race at Oschersleben, Germany, finishing ahead of Chris Van der Drift and Norbert Siedler.
Starting from third on the grid, the Belgium did not relax despite his great points advantage in the Series. After a tough nose-to-tail battle with pole-sitter Van der Drift, who was leading the race for the first half, D’Ambrosio charged past the Dutchman to cruise to his third victory of the season
Jermoe D’Ambrosio, Cram Competition
“I studied Chris for two or three laps on how he went into turn one. I had a go at about half way but he re-passed before I could close the door. I pushed again and re-tried it in a different gear and this time it worked. It was a very good move.
We had a very good car in the race, especially when it gets hot, it’s a difficult track for the tyres and towards mid-race I changed my driving style to help me with the tyres. We are flying!”
