Sunday, 16 September 2007
Aspiring Div 1a racer and University of Sunderland student Hal Ridge (20), is ready to return to the legendary Duivelsberg circuit in Belgium on October 7th 2007 for the final round of the Belgian Championship.  Looking to build on an encouraging debut in July, the young driver is keen to improve on his previous results and to move up the championship table. “My last time in Belgium was my first time racing outside the UK, with no knowledge ofhr-02.jpg the track, and a car that was built for stock hatch racing in the UK.  I think the result we got was fantastic and now we can build on that experience.”

In his following two races Hal finished a creditable 11th position in his second International event at Valkenswaard, Holland against another quality Div 1a field and on his return to the Kumho Tyres British Rallycross championship at Knockhill (Scotland) in August was running an impressive 4th before being taken out by another racer.

Since then the team has worked hard improve the car resulting in a successful private test at Blyton Race circuit in September  “We know the car will never have the power of the likes of Dave Van Beers, Thiery Cokelaere and the other top Division 1a cars, but we have to make the most of what we can improve like handling, grip and of course working on the driver!”

HrRACING Rallyesport are using this event to widen their European knowledge before announcing their exciting plans for 2008, and are sure that they will surprise everyone.

HrRACING Rallyesport intend to announce their exciting plans at the London Masters in December where Hal will be hoping to perform well in the unique Docklands arena.
