Newly crowned European Kart
Champion, Jack Harvey, heads to his final even in the KF3 class next weekend
when he takes part in the prestigious Monaco Cup.
The 14-year-old factory
Maranello Kart racer has taken four national and international titles so far
this season, adding the Margutti Trophy and Italian Open Masters crowns to his
CV, as well as successfully defending his Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix
title during 2007.
With his season drawing to a
close, the Newark Steel backed driver has hopes of ending the year in the KF3
category on a high, with victory in the one-off meeting. The event will be as
tough as any of the races he has been in all season, with the cream of European
racing talent taking part.
“I want to go there and win, for certain,” said
Jack. “I know that it will be a tough meeting as there will be plenty of drivers
who want the prestige of winning in Monaco. But I want to end my season in KF3
with another title,” he added.
“It’s been a fantastic year so far for me and
I’ve enjoyed every event I’ve raced in. To become European Champion was
obviously the high point, but it’s what we hoped to achieve
at the start of the season and worked incredibly hard for it every time we took
to the track,” said Jack.
“I know that it will make me
the target for everyone to beat in the KF3 race at Monaco, but I’ve been in that
situation all season and I will be going out there with the aim of collecting
the same result as always, to win!” he added.
