Take
a trip with BTCC racer at Cadwell Park
Motorsport fans taking the
chance to enjoy Christmas dinner at the Cadwell Park
circuit in December are in for an added bonus with the news that local race
ace Martyn Bell will be present to give passenger rides at a circuit he
regards as one of the best in the country.
The Barrow-upon-Humber racer,
who will bring his second season in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car
Championship to an end this weekend at Thruxton, will be giving high-speed
passenger rides at the event, which will take place on Sunday 16 December.
Those who enjoy the three-course
Christmas lunch at £14.95 will be given the chance to enjoy three laps
alongside Martyn for an extra £10, and he admitted that he was looking
forward to showing people what the picturesque Lincolnshire circuit is all
about.
“It’s something that
came out of the blue but I’m delighted that I have been asked to do it,”
he said. “Everyone knows how much I love Cadwell Park
and I’m really looking forward to showing some people what the circuit
is all about.
“I’m not totally
sure what car I’ll be using to take people round yet, but whatever it
is, I’m sure they will enjoy it. Then they can have some lunch and I can
have a chat with them about what it is like to be in the BTCC.”
