Ford Performance Vehicles Renews Alliance with FPR PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 16 October 2007
Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) has renewed its foundation sponsorship of the Ford Performance Racing (FPR) V8 Supercar team through to the end of the 2009 racing season.

This agreement ensures that FPR remains an integral marketing platform for FPV, a Ford Australia and Prodrive owned joint venture company that designs, manufactures and markets Ford’s premium range of total performance road vehicles.

Over the past five years, FPV has enjoyed continuous sales success, supported by the company’s highly effective leveraging of its front line motor racing involvement. FPV has become synonymous with FPR over this time, during which FPR has evolved into one of the most consistently competitive teams in the series and FPV has made a major impact in the high performance automotive sector.

FPR’s competitive performances on the track relate directly to the competitive positioning of FPV, the V8 Supercar team providing a highly effective promotional tool for this aspirational automotive brand direct to its core marketplace.

According to FPV General Manager, Rod Barrett, “We are delighted to extend our long term marketing partnership with FPR. Both FPV and FPR have achieved a great deal over the past five years and both of our brands have grown considerably due to our high profile V8 Supercar racing alliance. There are many synergies that exist between us along with several of the team’s suppliers and sponsors who are also involved in the FPV business of designing and manufacturing Australia’s most desired high performance Ford vehicles.”

FPR General Manager, Commercial & Marketing, Simon Derrick stated, “The intrinsic alliance between FPV and FPR is much more than a sponsorship agreement. It is the basis from which FPR was established and from which both the team and FPV continues to enjoy success. We look forward to the exciting future ahead for FPV and FPR in our highly competitive marketplaces."
