2007 Visma Formula Palmer Audi champion Tim Bridgman is
the latest addition to the entry list for FPA Shootout, and has extra
motivation for success.
Bridgman missed out on a place among the finalists for the
2007 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, but hopes to use the shootout at
Snetterton on 3/4 November to prove to the judges that he should have been an
automatic choice.
"Not being among the finalists came as a real
surprise, and my phone hasn't stopped ringing with people asking me why. It's
hard for me to answer, because I don't really know myself. I feel that
winning the FPA championship should have been enough, but the judges seem to
want that little bit extra from me," said Bridgman.
He went on to add: "Disappointment was my initial
feeling, which I think is natural. I have to turn the negative into a
positive though, and my focus is now on winning the FPA shootout."
Having won the 2007 FPA championship, Bridgman will go
into the event as one of the favourites, but with such a strong field all
chasing the same coveted prize, things aren't going to be easy for the Essex based driver.
