Australia’s largest
professional motorsport and Drag Racing team, the Brisbane based Brett Stevens
Racing, will be in Cairns QLD for the CARSGuide Cairns Auto Spectacular from
27th – 28th October. Brett ‘The Boss’ Stevens himself will
be headlining the event performing his famous driving exhibitions in his 2500
horsepower Jack Daniel’s Racing Burnout Ute.
Also taking
place on the 27th October in Cairns QLD is the National Basketball
League (NBL) Championship round between the Brisbane Bullets and the Cairns
Taipans.
To highlight
both of these events as well as the Brisbane versus Cairns ‘face off’, on Friday
26th October at the Cairns Showgrounds Stevens will be performing a
preview driving exhibition for assembled media in his Burnout Ute with star
Cairns Taipans rookie Nathan Jawai strapped into the passenger
seat.

Boss’ Stevens is the biggest name in Australian Drag Racing. As well as being
the only person in the world to compete in three separate Group 1 Drag Racing
brackets (Top Alcohol, Top
Doorslammer and Top Bike); he also operates the countries largest professional
motorsport team with a total seven Group 1 vehicles under his command.

Standing at
208cm and weighing in at 128kg,
Nathan Jawai
is one of the Cairns Taipans star rookies for the 2007 NBL season. Playing
his college basketball for Midland College in the US, he has also been a member
of the Australian Boomers and Crocs Under 21 squads as well as an Australian
Institute of Sport (AIS) scholarship holder from 2004 –
2007.
