Spain
and Italy
will host Formula Master’s official test days this winter with the
International Series’ teams scheduled to attend both Valencia and
Vallelunga circuits.
Following a successful debut year, Formula Master (IFM) organisers are now
focusing on the 2008 season, which will once again partner the FIA World Touring Car Championship at all its European rounds.
“This
year was crucial in establishing ourselves as a serious
option for upcoming drivers,” said Series Director Mauro Sipsz.
“Looking ahead, the 2008 season will give us the opportunity to build
on our success in 2007 and welcome back the participants that helped
the Series become the internationally recognised formula it is
today.
“Official
test days are essential for teams to build on the
momentum they have established since the Series launched and both
circuits offer great facilities for competitors’ preparation ahead of
the
next season.”
While
Valencia saw the International Series’ inaugural race last
May, Vallelunga is a new venue for the IFM teams. However, the series’
single-seater car was originally developed at the Italian track earlier
this year with the Autodromo di Vallelunga circuit a popular testing
location for many teams including Formula 1.
