Who:
Ten year old Jesse Skinner
Drag Racing Legend Brett Stevens
KickButt Racing’s Brett Batterby
What:
Ten-year old Jesse Skinner will have his first passes in a Junior
Dragster supplied by KickButt Racing at Willowbank Raceway tomorrow
night, with none-other than Drag Racing legend Brett Stevens looking
on.
Skinner has been given the chance to gain his ANDRA (Australian
National Drag Racing Association) competitive licence after his mum won
a competition run by school-based anti-smoking program KickButt Racing,
which seeks to promote the benefits of not smoking through motorsport.
The Tivoli State School student will look to have his recently
acquired Drag Racing licence endorsed by attending officials with 2
half track passes and a further 1/8 mile run so he can compete at any
ANDRA meeting in the future, with Stevens also set to be on hand to
lend his support.
KickButt Racing’s Brett Batterby uses motorsport to promote the
benefits of being smoke free to Queensland primary-school aged kids
(10-12 years of age).

Willowbank Raceway, Champions Way, Willowbank (five kilometres past the Rosewood turnoff on the Cunningham Highway)

5.30pm tomorrow, gates open at 5.00pm – Wednesday 7th November, 2007
