Hampshire racing driver Ollie Hancock will start his preparations
for the 2008 season next week during a two-day test at Oulton Park with
leading Formula Renault outfit Hillspeed Racing.
Hancock finished third overall in his first season in the Formula
Renault BARC championship this year, also claiming the top rookie
prize, and will return next year for an assault on the title.
Hillspeed boast an impressive track record in both the BARC and TOCA
versions of the prestigious single seater-entry category and Ollie is
looking forward to using the opportunity to assess his 2008 options.
Hancock said:
“Hillspeed are
a very professional team with an excellent record in Formula Renault. I
tested with them in 2006 at Albacete and things went very well. I know
they’ve got a good set up for Oulton after the great results they
achieved there in the TOCA championship last season. They’ve also
acquired a brand new BARC-spec car and this represents an excellent
opportunity for me to get some serious running in before I finalise my
plans for next season.”
