The stars and their cars are coming to Warwick, with a massive field of cars taking to the track for the Queensland Motor Racing Championships at Morgan Park on August 26-27.
A massive 185 entries have been received, making this easily the biggest championship race meeting of the year, equalling the record entry from this meeting 12 months ago.
Dominating the entry list is a massive field of Superkarts, with a total of 34 of the pocket rockets entered for the Pacific Superkart Challenge.
Not only is the cream of Queensland's karting talent on display, but also 12 interstate visitors will make their way from around the country, making this the biggest Queensland Superkart meeting in recent history.
The Queensland Gemini Series goes from strength to strength, with an entry of 29 cars, their biggest since March 1998.
The field comprises four previous champions, three female drivers, and former international open wheel star Josh Hunt, who is making his local Queensland debut.
A quality field of 25 Improved Production cars will see big V8s take on the best turbo charged, rotary and four cylinders the state has to offer.
Crowd favourites, the Uebergangs will no doubt star as they take on series leader Justin Keys, and a host of new and old cars.
The Sports Car field features some exotics that will turn heads.
Steve Morcombe last time out set a new track record for the class in his awesome Chrion LMP3, the fastest time for Morgan Park Raceway for any car this season.
Another mouth-watering entry is the Bizzarinni of Brisbane car collector Rob Sherrard.
The best Queensland Formula Ford field in years will take to the track, with 16 of the slick open wheelers entered.
Other classes to look out for include a big field of the HQ Holdens, the slip streaming battles of Formula Vee, the Ford versus Holden battle of Saloon Cars, the classic Historic Touring Cars, and the big bangers, the Sports Sedans.
