Tesco 99 Octane Motorsport Refuel Zone will keep
the competitor vehicles in the race as they battle it out in the inaugural 2007
London Masters Rallycross competition, held at ExCel on Saturday 8th and Sunday
9th December. Tesco 99 Octane, already the official fuel of the British Rally
Championship and several other rally events, is a high octane performance petrol
developed to meet the latest sporting regulations.
Tesco 99 Octane MSA Plus will be available
for all competitiors from the Tesco 99 Octane Refuel Zone at a price of £1.79
plus vat per litre. By using the refueling zone, London Masters competitors will
be able to refuel their cars in a regulated and safe manner. Competitors will be
able to access the refuel area between races throughout the event.
As well as adhering to MSA regulations, Tesco 99
Octane also gives optimum performance as well as the environmental benefits of
approximately 5% renewable bioethanol combined with very low levels of harmful
carcinogenic chemicals. Drivers with experience of using the fuel have reported
that the burning characteristics of bioethanol in the fuel gives power and
tuning advantages.
With just over three weeks to go until the
competition, the final preparations are being made to the purpose built circuit
to ensure that the surface is perfect for high performance motorsport. The
circuit is a minimum of 14.5 metres wide with an approximate length of 650
metres. The lap time for a Division 1 car is expected to be between 30 and 35
seconds with an average speed of approximately 80mph. The circuit has been
constructed with fast flowing corners, featuring two spectacular yumps. The
circuit was created by the PSM Motorsport Ltd circuit construction team and
London Motorsport Show organisers Starting Grid Ltd in association with Shannon
Holdings. In addition to Shannon, the event is also supported by London
Mazda.
