Hampshire racer OIlie Hancock will spend four days testing
with reigning Formula Renault UK champions Fortec Motorsport this week.
Hancock, who has already had two successful test outings with
Hillspeed Racing this winter, will spend the week in France sampling
one of the Daventry-based team’s TOCA-spec Formula Renault cars at Val
de Vienne and Nogaro.
With Fortec’s CV containing multiple Formula Renault UK titles and
many successes in the World Series by Renault, Formula 3 and Formula
BMW, Hancock was understandably excited about the week ahead.
“I honestly cannot wait,” Hancock admitted. “It’s
a fantastic opportunity for me because they are such a top team. Fortec
have dominated the Formula Renault UK championship over the past couple
of seasons and I’m sure I can learn so much from them.
It will also be a great experience to sample
two new circuits. I’ve never been to Val de Vienne or Nogaro before, so
to spend two days testing at each venue will be fantastic.”
Ollie finished third overall and best rookie in his debut season of the Formula Renault BARC championship this year.
