Friday, 30 November 2007

Formula 1 star David Coulthard will be at the Autosport International Show on Saturday 11 January 2008. The Red Bull Racing driver will take part in the show’s Live Action Arena as well as interviews on the F1 Racing stand and the Autosport Stage.

A regular at Europe’s largest motorsport show, Coulthard regards Autosport International as one of the best opportunities of the year to catch up with friends and fans alike.

coulthard_signing.jpg“I’m very much looking forward to the show,” said Coulthard, who will also be meeting fans. “I think it’s an excellent format and a great opportunity to get close to the fans in a more relaxed way.

“It’s quite difficult for fans to get near the drivers at any motorsport event but at the Autosport International Show, most people get a chance to meet their favourite drivers and teams. I have to admit, I’m also looking forward to it as I will get to catch up with some of my motorsport pals who I haven’t seen in ages!”

The 13-time F1 Grand Prix winner will take part in the show ahead of starting hisdavid_coulthard.jpg fourth season with Red Bull Racing, alongside team-mate Mark Webber.

“Autosport, as well as the show, has had a long association with David,” said Haymarket Exhibitions Group Marketing Manager Nolan O’Connor. “We’re really happy that he’s managed to find time to come back to the show for yet another year. The fans love seeing him and he’s always very entertaining.”

Other stars already confirmed to attend the show are: American Le Mans Series and former F1 driver Allan McNish, 2007 British Touring Car Championship stars Jason Plato and Matt Neal, World Rally driver Mikko Hirvonen, McLaren F1 test driver Gary Paffett and the ITV-F1 crew.

Autosport International will be open to the public on Saturday 12 to Sunday 13 January 2008 with trade days on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 January. Adult tickets start at £28.00 per day with children’s tickets costing £18.50. To book, visit www.autosport-international.com or call 0044 (0)870 040 0396.
