Following 18 years of successful partnership, next week’s
32nd edition of the Bologna Motor Show will see the end of N.Technology’s sporting
activities with Alfa Romeo and the Fiat Group.
Featuring World Touring Car Championship driver James Thompson and MotoGP
Ducati rider Marco Melandri, the Motor Show marks N.Technology Alfa Romeo’s seventh appearance in the Bologna race.
“It
is extremely poignant to see the end of such a successful
relationship,” said Team Principal Mauro Sipsz. “Together with Fiat and
Alfa Romeo, we have achieved numerous victories in motorsport
including six Drivers, three Manufacturers and four Team Championships
during the Alfa Romeo 156’s ten year history.
“This
year has once again shown the might of the 156, with two wins,
eight podiums and third place in the WTCC drivers championship. With
such competitiveness shown this season, we would be pleased to see
another team
reach a similar level of success with this car in the 2008 WTCC or
National Championships.”
Four Alfa Romeo 156 Super 2000 WTCC race cars are available for sale; all are
rebuilt, updated for 2008 and ready to run. At €160,000.00
each, including a spare
parts set (excluding taxes/delivery), the cars can also be supported by
N.Technology with technical and customer support as well as further
developments.
N.Technology is currently negotiating with other manufacturers to define
future sporting activities.
