Brett Stevens hunts for back to back top alcohol wins PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 04 December 2007

Australian Top Alcohol Championship leader Brett ‘The Boss’ Stevens will again be hitting the track in his Kitten Car Care Products Funny Car in Sydney for the International Top Fuel, Top Alcohol and Pro Stock Challenge this weekend (8th-9th December).

Coming off a bracket victory in his Funny Car in Perth a fortnight ago, Stevens will be on the hunt for back to back wins to create a buffer between himself and the world class field chasing.

And with just one vehicle in one category to focus on at the event instead of his usual seven professional race cars and bikes, he is sure to be right on the pace once again as the season reaches the halfway mark.

“We are really on top of the tune ups for the Kitten Funny Car now and are able to run quick times consistently, which is the key to winning the Championship,” Stevens said.

“It is not going to be easy though, as we approach the halfway point in the series there has been a different winner at each round with a number of competitors able to pull out the numbers needed to win.”

“But going by our recent performances we are confident of a good result that will consolidate my current place on the points table and put me in a strong position in the New Year to have a shot at winning the Title.”

“The Western Sydney International Dragway is one of the best Drag Racing facilities in the world and with the tight competition in Top Alcohol and some of the worlds leading Top Fuel drivers visiting from USA, this weekend is going to see plenty of action on the track for the fans.”

With a non stop racing and show schedule, over the last 3 weeks the Brett Stevens Racing team has amassed and incredible 3 Group One category wins out of 4 contested, across 3 separate professional Drag Racing brackets.

If Stevens can again take home the silverware this weekend it will make win number 4 in 4 weeks, adding to his personal success in Round 3 of the Australian Top Alcohol Championship as well as team members Pete Cochrane winning Round 3 of the Pro Stock Bike Championship and Troy McLean winning Round 3 of the Top Bike Championship.

As well as the Top Alcohol category in Sydney, the event will also feature the ever-popular Top Fuel Dragsters that will reach speeds of over 500km/h. These will be highlighted by two international entries from the world’s richest Drag Racing Championship, the NHRA.
