As the clock ticks down to the start of the 2008 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour on Sundayfmx_backflip_thumb.jpg February 10, the momentum towards the third running of the WPS Bathurst Motor Festival continues to build with tickets now released for sale.

With participants able to register for the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour up to January 18, over 60 enquiries and 25 entries have already been received, pointing towards an even bigger and better festival than ever before for Mount Panorama spectators. “The WPS Bathurst Motor Festival is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before, with interest in the revived WPS Bathurst 12 Hour piqued after its running earlier this year,” said O’Brien.

“Combined with an extended on-track entertainment program providing even more to see and do over the three days at Mount Panorama, tickets to the 2008 Festival are a great idea for Christmas for that special someone.

While the racing action should be more than enough to keep the entire family entertained, the 2008 WPS Bathurst Motor Festival will also feature an extended on and off-track entertainment program, with the first ever Superstreet Nationals plus the return of the FMX Nationals, Mad Ron’s Jet Truck, the Raceline/Team Peer Drift Team, the Sports Bike Stunt Team and Drag Car Demonstrations all on the bill.

Raceline Events Director Ian Baddock said that Raceline Events were pleased tomadronjettruckthumb.jpg again be appointed by the Event Organisers to provide an ever-expanding entertainment special for the 2008 WPS Bathurst Motor Festival.

“The first ever Superstreet Nationals is just part of our commitment to continuing to grow the package for fans at the WPS Bathurst Motor Festival,” said Badock.

“Tough street machines, muscle cars, classics, cruisers, hot rods, imports, drift cars, and exhibition cars and bikes will all be on show for the Superstreet Nationals, with an audio show and sound off, driving events, a show and shine, club and trade displays and other entertainment including the very popular Dyno Comp all part of the show.

“We are also really happy to be welcoming back Mad Ron’s impressive Jet Truck, plus the FMX Nationals which proved very popular last year with both the riders and the fans.”

All patrons receive free entry to the Bathurst National Motor Racing Museum with each ticket, and children under 12 are free when they enter with a paying adult.

Access to the top of Mount Panorama will be open throughout the three day Event, with patrons able to catch a shuttle or drive their own car to the Mountain top for a unique viewing point of the track, with the Big Screen ensuring they miss none of the action.

The 2008 WPS Bathurst Motor Festival will be held at Mount Panorama on February 8-10, incorporating the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour on Sunday February 10.
