Ford Performance Racing (FPR) is delighted to
announce that the Prodrive owned team has concluded a multi-year major
sponsorship agreement with Hagemeyer Australia.
Trading
under the highly respected electrical, industrial and safety products business
identities of Lawrence & Hanson and Auslec, the group is Australia’s largest
electrical distributor and wholesaler. There are over 180 Lawrence & Hanson
and Auslec branches across Australia in strategically located metropolitan and
regional areas. A wholly owned subsidiary of Hagemeyer NV, the Asia Pacific
operation is part of a global business-to-business group that employs over
17,000 staff members in 60 countries, with revenues in excess of $A16 billion
(EUR 8 billion).
This
exciting new commercial partnership includes major signage on both FPR Falcons
during the 2008 season and beyond. The Lawrence & Hanson brand logo will
appear on the rear quarter-panels of each FPR Falcon, while the well known
Auslec logo will appear on the high exposure rear wings of both FPR
Falcons.
This is
an important new commercial partnership for the Prodrive team as it heads
towards its most competitive seasons yet in the world’s most competitive Touring
Car racing series. As the world’s
largest independent motor racing and automotive engineering company, Prodrive
has enjoyed success in many major international motor racing categories,
including Formula One, the World Rally Championship, World Sportscar Racing and
V8 Supercars.
According
to FPR Team Principal and Prodrive Racing Australia Managing Director Tim
Edwards, this new commercial partnership is a great fit for this major blue oval
team.
“It is a pleasure to welcome the Hagemeyer
Group of companies to FPR for the 2008 season and well into the future. This
long term agreement helps our team to mount consistently strong Championship
challenges as innovators and leaders, sharing the same principles that have made
the Lawrence & Hanson and Auslec brands the Australian success stories that
they are.”
This is
also an exciting time for Hagemeyer Australia, as the company extends its
marketing strategy to front line Australian motor racing with FPR, as Stephen
Hanlon, Hagemeyer Commercial General Manager states.
"We are
delighted to join forces with FPR, continuing our successful Ford association
that started in 2007 with the Ford Rising Stars Development Series team.
Stepping up into the main series with FPR represents an ideal opportunity to
expose our 30,000 customers, 1,400 Australian staff and hundreds of supplier
partners to the most exciting form of motor sport in Australia, linking us with
the best Ford team in the field. We are looking forward to what 2008 and beyond
will bring."
