The 2008 calendar for the Formula
Palmer Audi Championship has been finalised, with Spa Francorchamps, the home of
the Belgian Grand Prix, confirmed on 16/17/18 May.
FPA will be appearing at the ‘RMU
Classic’, a mixed event of historic and modern racing that also features the FIA
Historic Formula One Championship and Orwell Supersports. Group C sports cars
are also expected to take part.
FPA founder, Jonathan Palmer said:
“We are delighted to have Spa confirmed on the FPA calendar as it is a legendary
track for any driver. The majestic undulations of the circuit will present a
challenge to those taking part in this year’s Formula Palmer Audi championship
which is great value for money at £59,950 for a whole season’s
racing.”
12 of this year’s 20 Formula Palmer
Audi races will take place on current or former F1 tracks, with other venues
including the Donington Grand Prix circuit, the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit
and two separate appearances at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. FPA will
support some of the biggest events in the UK,
including A1GP, DTM and the FIA World Touring Car
Championship.
The season commences at Donington Park on 12/13
April.
